Soso has become the benchmark for modern Greek cooking on Paros. The menu changes with the catch and the season, the wine list is thoughtful, and the terrace over the old port is as good as dining gets on the island.

A Naoussa institution. Barbarossa has been serving the freshest seafood in the port for decades, and nothing about it has been over-designed. The octopus drying on the line outside is not a prop.

Tucked inside the medieval kastro of Parikia, Levantis serves a fusion of Greek and Asian flavours that has no right to work as well as it does. The courtyard is magical at night, lit by candles and the glow of the old walls.

The best vegetarian table on the island.

Tamarisko proves that the best meal in Paros doesn't have to involve fish. The kitchen works with local farmers and the menu is almost entirely vegetarian — creative, seasonal, and genuinely delicious.

Alyki

Yemeni

Sunset, salt flats, and grilled fish.

Alyki is the salt-flat village on the south coast, and Yemeni sits right on the water's edge. The sunsets here are the best on the island — wide, unobstructed, and painted in colours that feel excessive. The grilled fish is the point.

Porphyra sits on the waterfront in Parikia and does one thing: fish, cooked simply and perfectly. The owner buys from the boats each morning. The menu is written on a chalkboard. The wine is cold and local.

Every island has one restaurant that locals hope tourists won't find. Glafkos is Paros's. A family-run taverna in the backstreets of Parikia, serving slow-cooked lamb, homemade wine, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to stay another week.

Perched on the headland above Naoussa, Cavo offers the most dramatic dining position on the island. The kitchen is accomplished — modern Greek with Aegean ingredients — but the real reason to book is the view: open sea, the lights of Naxos, and a sky full of stars.
